Payment   Arrangements

We accept money orders and personal checks.

Orders paid by personal check may be held for up to 7 days for bank clearance. 

Layaway Policy

Getting started with cloth diapering can seem expensive.   Because of this, we will accept layaway orders.  After placing your order, simply put LAWAY in the promo code box in the payment section.  By doing this, your items will be set aside and 25% of the total will be billed at that time.  Then, you will be billed 25% each month, for the next three consecutive months.  When your final payment is made, your order will be shipped.  If for some reason, your payment is declined, you will be notified and your order may be deleted if necessary with a 15% restock fee.  If you choose to pay off your order early, it will be shipped when it is paid in full.

Shipping Charges and Policies
Shipping/Handling charges for US (continental 48 states). We normally ship UPS but may opt to ship via USPS Priority Mail or Parcel Post. APO/FPO, HI & AK address are automatically shipped USPS. Customers choosing UPS Ground/USPS are as follows:

Purchases $20.01 - $50	shipping/handling $8.00
Purchases $50.01 - $75	shipping/handling $9.25
Purchases $75.01- $100	shipping/handling $10.25
Purchases $100.01- $150	shipping/handling $11.50
Purchases $150.01- $200	shipping/handling $14.25
Purchases $200.01 & over-	shipping/handling FREE!*
*Ground Shipments in the contiguous U.S. only.

Other Shipping Options: Next Day Air add $22.00 to above rates, 2nd Day Air add $14.00 to above rates, 3 day Select add $7.00 to above rates. Prices could be higher due to package weight and/or size. We will contact you to confirm if so.

Drop Ship: Items marked as "Drop Ship" are shipped directly from the manufacturer to you and are therefore subject to a separate shipping/handling cost. We will confirm charges prior to shipment.

Prefold Diapers: Due to the weight of prefold diapers extra charges may apply to several dizen or more. We will contact you to confirm. if so.

Orders to APO/FPO and AK & HI: Please add $5.00 to the above shipping chart.

Canadian Orders: Please add $5.00 to the above shipping chart.

International Orders: We will contact you with actual shipping charges before shipping.

All you have to do is refer a friend (applies to NEW customers) to us.  For your first referral, we will send you a coupon for $5.00 off your next purchase when your referral makes a purchase of $15 or more.  For your second referral we'll give you a coupon for $10.00!!  Be sure to have them tell us you sent them!  Offer valid on first 2 referrals, not valid for persons residing in the same household, on gift registries- other restrictions may apply.

Looking for something special?
Please ask us!  We can usually order items from any of the companies we currently deal with.  We also have access to a lot of other items.  We do ask that special orders are pre-paid.  Any returns are accepted for defective merchandise only.  We will replace it with an identical item or offer an in-store credit.

Return Policy

• All orders must be checked for shortages or damage and reported to The Baby Lane within 5 days of receipt.  Please have the invoice number ready when calling.
• All returns must have a return authorization number (RA#) obtained by calling 888-387-0019.  Returned items must be received within 30 days with an RA#.
• A copy of the invoice must accompany all returns.
• We recommend returning items via UPS or a way that provides a tracking method.  The Baby Lane is not responsible for packages lost when returned.
• All returned items must be in unused, unopened & unwashed condition.
• We will gladly replace the item, or refund your money - less the original shipping charge - if the return is for your convenience (changed mind, ordered too many, etc).  A 5% restock fee will apply.
• If the return is made later than 30 days, but less than 60 days, and the item(s) are unused, we will issue an in-store credit, less original shipping charges and a 10% restocking fee.
• The Baby Lane reserves the right to decline any return of items after 90 days of receipt.

Sorry we do NOT refund original shipping charges on returns.

We value our privacy and yours!  We want you to feel comfortable when you are buying from us.  Any personal information you supply to us when placing your order is for our internal use only.  We will never, ever sell, your name, address (email or snail mail) to any company.
